This fun, hands-on Easter STEM activity has students plan, build and evaluate their own Easter basket design. Students are encouraged to think about their design, make a blueprint and then evaluate their build. During this project, students will learn about the design process, use their critical thinking skills to solve a problem, evaluate their work by answering questions about their design and write about their experience.
There are 3 parts to this project:
In the planning stage, students will brainstorm with the Planning My Design page and then make a blueprint with the My Design Blueprint page.
In the building stage, students will use plastic building bricks to bring their design to life using their blueprint as a guide. Teacher's will need to provide building bricks.
In the evaluation stage, students will answer four questions about their design on the Evaluating My Design page and then write about their design process and overall experience with the My Design Journal page.
