"Tops and Bottoms" by Janet Stevens is one of my favorite stories to teach this time of year! This pack includes three fun reading response activities to accompany the story. These activities could be used whole group, or would be perfect as a center or small group activity. Included you will find:
1. Tops and Bottoms game board and story comprehension questions. Students must answer the comprehension questions to move along the game board and help Hare escape from a very grumpy Bear! I've also included blank question cards if you would like to create your own questions.
2. Writing Prompt - Was Hare Fair?
3. Antonym Matching Game: This game could be played concentration style as a center, or you could give each child a card and have them find their match! I've included 16 vegetable shaped cards with pairs of antonyms. I've also include blank vegetable cards for you to create your own. There is also a recording sheet for students to write their matches if this is being used as an independent center.
Thanks for looking!
