With this adapted book, a teacher or therapist reads the book to students, as they follow along and match a heart and descriptive words to each page. At the end of the story, there are wh- questions that students will answer by matching the correct answer piece to each page. Students working independently can work through the book in a literacy center or work station.
There are also extension activities included. These include a sequencing mat to sequence the events of the story, an open ended activity where students create their own "that's not the egg," descriptions, and a words to pictures matching activity that focuses on the adjectives in the book.
If your students enjoy adapted books, there are many more in my collection. Please see my Adapted Books Collection below.
