Happy Easter from the United States! In “Easter in the United States or Pepper and Bunny Celebrate" Pepper helps students learn how and why Easter is celebrated in the United States. Pepper is observing Holy Week and Easter Week. These two weeks celebrate the last few days of the life of Jesus Christ and His resurrection.
There is a detailed eleven-page 'newspaper' for older students, simpler eight-page booklets for younger students made out of one sheet of paper, and sheets for the youngest students to use. The PowerPoint is an interactive presentation that allows students to provide answers before they are shown on the next slide. Notes are included in the PowerPoint providing details from the booklets and newspaper, but can be ignored during the slide presentation for a simpler, stream-lined overview using only the headlines on the individual slides. Therefore this package can be used for those in Pre-K to Grade 10 or higher (or ages 3 to 15 or higher). Please click on the preview for more details. The documents are in PDF, PowerPoint and Word so you can edit them.
Pepper has also provided: a vocabulary word practice sheet on holy days and pastimes; a quiz on Easter (with answers provided); and editable writing practice sheets for the youngest grades. A bonus fifteen-page reference document of the Gospel of John, Chapters 12-21, on the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus is included.
Finally, Pepper has included instructions on how to decorate hard boiled eggs, and how to make cascarones (confetti-filled eggs), a palm cross and a woven paper fish.
