This offering is a set of puzzles designed around Easter. All four of the puzzles are about the Christian aspect of Easter, none of these are secular. There's a crossword that older students and adults should be able to complete on their own . . . but younger students may need to work in groups, or even as a class. There is a Verb Vocabulary Puzzle in which 18 of the more critical verbs are given in one column and their definitions in another. In connecting a verb with its definition (with a straight edge) the line segment will pass through two circles one with a letter in it, the other with a number. The puzzle is solved (and a message decoded) when the letters are put above the numbers in a grid. Finally there are two Proper Noun searches . . . one with only a cast of major players (which is for the younger student, or less-experienced search-solver) the other with 18 Proper Nouns critical to understanding the Easter "Story" better. I've given brief definitions of each of the Proper Nouns. In each search there IS also an apt secret message to be found. As always my goal in each of the puzzles is to have a little fun while also learning something. In this case, something that I believe to be very important.
