I BELIEVE that teachers are too important to be wasting time with "busy work" that a computer can do. Student behaviors are complicated. Teachers deserve an easy way to understand them as much as possible.
MOST PEOPLE see a student's behavior in black and white. This form shows you the color.
ABC (antecedent, behavior, consequence) data is one of the most important tools for understanding behavior. However, most apps and paper forms can only calculate the number of each A, B, and C. To me, this is unacceptable since a much richer analysis can be done automatically. There is a better way, and it's called Easy ABC.
- How many behaviors per minute?
- Which settings have the highest and lowest behavior rate?
- What are the most common A-B-C sequences?
- What are A, B, C, rankings, frequencies, and percentages?
- What does each behavior look like?
- How did the student respond to each consequence?
- What stopped or escalated the behavior?
Each form automatically analyzes your ABC data and provides you with a parent/teacher friendly report to understand the student's behavior.
Have you noticed how most behavior apps or forms aren't "quite" right? That's because computer programmers don't know what teachers need to understand a student's behavior.
My forms are unique because I am an experienced school psychologist AND computer programmer. I use these skills to create forms that take simple observations and automatically generate detailed reports. Student behaviors are complicated. Teachers deserve an easy way to understand them as much as possible.
