This is a set of four worksheets that give students a chance to drill identifying ledger line notes that are one or two notes away from the staff. Two of the worksheets use only one clef (one for treble and one for bass clef). The other two worksheets are using both to further develop students mastery of both clefs.
I always try to start each worksheet out with a "groaner" pun. These worksheets are no different, and are based upon the notes being above or below the staff. They are entitled: "To Boldly Go" "Extra Notes" "Over the Edge" and "Over and Under"
I try to make several worksheets on the same topic; that way you can easily differentiate your assessment for advanced students as well as special education students (some may only have to do two worksheets, where more advanced students may have to do all four). To further differentiate, you may consider downloading my "Advanced Ledger Lines" worksheets which include ledger lines up to an octave above or below the staff.
