An interactive book designed to keep students engaged during a story.
This story is a predicable reader about kids and incorporates food vocabulary. I adapt as needed for different goals in speech therpay(artic, wh questions, attributes, categories, pronouns). Teachers could use it as a predictable reader or for students to search for sight words.
Students can participate by reading the story and using the Velcro stickies to match the illustrations. Students can either use pictures or verbally communicate what their favorite foods by answering the question at the end .
My students absolutely love this little story!
I usually read it and then make similar foods with playdough as an extension to the story. Students can 'feed' something. I usually use Play-doh Cookie Monster Letter Lunch or a paperbag animal and cookie cutters.
