This is an easy-to-setup and easy-to-use Grading Rubric which utilizes check boxes for teacher defined categories to easily grade assignments, projects, tests, or whatever else passes your teacher’s desk. The grades are calculated automatically. There is also a place to enter days late and assign your own level of point’s deduction. You may also assign some points towards student effort and enter the percentage of points awarded as a decimal value between 0 and 1. The rubric can accommodate up to 32 students total. This grading rubric by OUTat3 PRODUCTS by TWayne is sure to make your grading more efficient!
Directions for Use are below, and also included in the file itself:
Edit each Category with the Item you are grading.
Set the point values (light green) for each Category you are grading.
If you choose, you may assign a portion of the points to an EFFORT grade. Then, you may set the grade as a percentage of those points by entering the corresponding decimal value in the Effort column.
Set the Days Late column point value to the amount of points you will deduct per day late. You MUST enter this as a negative value.
Copy and paste your student roster into the student name column. This rubric allows for a max of 32 students.
Simply grade and check each box for the included category item, and assign the appropriate percentage of effort points, and your final grade is tallied automatically.
When grading is complete, you may click the pull down arrow on the grading column heading and sort the data highest to lowest, or filter students with a zero grade for a quick list of missing work.
Return to original alphabetical sort by re-sorting using the student name column or unchecking appropriate boxes on Grade Column.
