These adorable emergent reader mini books are fun to fold and fun to read. The prep is minimal. Just print and have your students cut and fold them. They are a favorite with my own students. We make and read them during our lesson and then they take the mini book home to read to their parents.
The tiny books are not too overwhelming for new readers. Even reluctant readers are usually willing to give such a little book a try.
I've had luck teaching K-1 graders how to fold them. They are always so pleased to have made a book that they can keep!
The first mini books are the easiest to read. The last few have more words per page and are slightly more advanced. There are seven mini books to fold and read.
This is a resource I really enjoy using. I hope it works as well for you!
