This simple set of two pages is designed to give students the opportunity to describe what they've learned about healthy (and unhealthy) dietary choices. My first graders do two pages of healthy and two pages of unhealthy foods as a home project over spring break, and the results are made into a class book. This gives parents the chance to add their own family's values into the project. Students also use language skills to share their work, compare information from different sources, and learn from each other. It really sticks with them!
