I decided to make this when we read the book "Eating the Alphabet" by Lois Ehlert. I use it in pre-k, but it could be used in kindergarten or 1st grade, as well. My students couldn't read the words, but we went over all of the fruits and vegetables on the cards so that they could identify them. The goal was for them to listen for the beginning sound in each of the fruit/vegetable names. I made three different board versions. I recommend printing on cardstock and laminating both the boards and the cue cards!
