Whether its back to school season or in the middle of the year, its always interesting to see what students will do when you take them outside for a lab. This is a 2 day lesson that includes a lab, reference to videos, a quick write warm up over biodiversity, two sets of two page worksheets, and the scripted lesson plan.
The lesson: It contains reference to videos found online, a quick write warm up for biodiversity, and a brief one day research project to get students familiar the adaptations of predators and prey.
The lab: This is an outdoor activity that requires a bit of set up, but this lab covers predator prey relationships, adaptations, mutations, and it also has math integrated into the worksheets. Could be crammed to take up only one day or easily spread out into two. There is also a math integration of finding percents and developing charts.
If you are just looking for a lab, check out my standalone lab and its worksheets found: Here!
