This video guide is to be used alongside the Movie Wall-E as an ecology review or application activity. Students will discuss a variety of environmental science topics as they relate to the Earth portrayed in this video. Questions and content are written and directed at middle school science. The following concepts are defined at the start of the activity and addressed in the guide.
● Abiotic Factors
● Biotic Factors
● Point source pollution
● Nonpoint source pollution
This video guide came about as we realized we were building up to Earth Day, starting up ecology and facing the end of state testing all in the same week. As you can imagine, the kids brains were worn out. This turned out to be a very engaging activity. It took three days to complete with lots of great discussion.
