This PowerPoint was modified at my new school to assimilate my work into that of our PLC's. We used our Prentice Hall textbook as the guide to lead us through the ecology unit. Each section is labeled as to what chapter/section we were covering. This unit includes (but not limited to) the following terms and concepts: abiotic/biotic factors, populations and niches, communities and biomes, ecosystems, food chains/webs/energy pyramids, symbiotic relationships, water/carbon/nitrogen cycles, ecological succession, biodiversity.
Students took Cornell Notes a few times a week on these concepts. Guided notes were created in chart form for differentiation.
