Your students MUST know the difference between economic, political, and social reasons, causes, and effects. Why not help them learn to mark their warm-up questions and test questions by having them draw these simple symbols anytime they see something in a question that cues them to one of these areas? Keep these posters up all year, even right up on your white board. Project questions on the screen and show students how to use these symbols to mark their questions to help them engage with the content of the question. These are VERY handy!
Print them in color on 13x19 card stock at your local copy place, trim them out and laminate them, or just reduce them to fit whatever size paper you have. You can even just display the PDF while you teach or review these concepts with students over and over, and have the students draw them into their interactive notebooks.
