Economics can seem very daunting, both for students and for teachers with little experience in teaching or learning the subject themselves. This resource is fantastic for teachers who are just getting their feet wet with core principles of economics, whether for use in an Economics course, Personal Finance or Business course, in an American History course, or in any number of other circumstances. You will receive TWO SEPARATE pre-tests, which can be used individually or in conjunction with one another, as well as the answer keys for each.
These resources are best suited for use as a barometer at the beginning of a school year or of a unit, to get a sense of how much your students already know about these key concepts. In my experience, students as young as 7th or 8th grade get more answers correct than they might have previously assumed; this provides a perfect springboard and allows students to feel confident heading into discussions that might otherwise seem very intimidating.
