Get your students moving with an interactive way to have a discussion about economic systems! If you're not familiar with the idea a gallery walk is essentially where students to move around the room to complete a task. This product contains 7 discussion questions on economic systems for a high school business class. Tape the slides (product is in Microsoft PowerPoint) around the room and have students work with a small group or partner to walk around the room and write answers to discussion questions with a dry erase marker or have students use post-its to record answers if you're short on board space. At the conclusion of the activity, the teacher should hold a discussion on student responses to discussion questions.
Question topics include:
Economics and individuals
Command economy vs. Market economy
If you've ever been to PD you know sitting still for an extended period of time can be a challenge, so movement is a great way to engage your students!
