This 9 page illustrated reading describes the origins of major economic theories that developed during the time of the Industrial Revolution. It provides the needed background: the history of the Industrial Revolution, particularly as it pertains to England. Then, the major economic and political theories are laid out in plain terms and bullet points that provide students with accessibility to these ideas in ways that textbooks so often do not. Modern examples are used to show how these theories have evolved over time and developed into modern concepts different than their ideological origins. A description of the rise of Nazism and fascism is included in the end as a bonus to clearly explain the difference between fascism and communism, a common misconception. The 15 review questions are intended to ensure student comprehension. I am working on developing a test to accompany the reading. If you buy the product, email me and I will have the test by than and I will send it your way. Enjoy!
