Those of us that grew up in the 80's, especially those of us that graduated in the early to mid 80's were really in-between generations. We are too young to be in the baby boomer/yuppie generations and too old to be in the gen-x generation.
Our generation was more than seeing the end of the cold war, the invention of the Rubix cube, Swatch Watches and Super Mario Brothers. What made our generation more distinct from other generations was the music, the movies and most importantly the social (or anti-social) attitudes.
We saw life and death in technology. Vinyl LP records were being replaced by CDs. VHS format video tapes won out over Beta Format Video tapes. Home PC was on the rise. Home video games were starting to replace board games.
