Description

This is a 12-lesson ecosystem unit. Some lessons may take multiple days to complete, stretching it out even more.

This is a simple, easy to follow lesson unit with no frills. Each lesson is written in the order it should be presented for that class time. The unit includes lessons on different types of ecosystems, primary and secondary succession, endangered animals, extinction, water cycle, biomes and much more. It, also, includes a pop quiz, a shoebox biome project outline and instructions, and a simulation/debate for assessment. Additionally, it includes an aloe vera hands on project, simple water cycle evaporation project, and homework assignments. These lessons incorporate writing and art, as well.

I use this unit every year in third/fourth grade combination class but can be used for much higher grades as my students tend to be advanced.
