It can be tricky to learn the different levels of organization within an ecosystem! Students can use this double-sided flip book to record notes about how ecosystems are organized (aligned with SOL 4.5). Depending on your students, you might complete this as a class or have students work on it in small groups, with a partner, or independently. To complete the flip book, students will fill in the blanks and add pictures and writing.
Key terms include: community, ecosystem, food chain, niche, non-living factor, organism, population, and species.
A sample answer key is included.
