PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

A simple way to show how a sedimentary rock forms, and it's yummy too! I used it as an end of unit project when teaching about sedimentary rocks. Any type of cereal can be used, but try to get some with various colors and shapes to help make the "rocks" more realistic. The mineral solution used in "cementation" is just a 1-1 combination of sugar and corn syrup, mixed and boiled. I also used small bathroom cups as the container for the "rock".
