This assessment task has students design a structure using 3D shapes based on the scenario provided. Students take on the role of an Architect by building a model of their design, taking/drawing a picture and labeling the design, describing the parts, and writing a proposal as to why their design should be accepted.
Students can get really creative with their proposal by explaining how it is environmentally friendly, or cost effective, etc etc.
