Product Description
My students go WILD for this project every year! I use this animal report as a culminating project for our animal unit. You can use it as a Non-fiction report as well. I send it home at the beginning of our science unit so that students have at least 3-4 weeks to work on it.

Download the preview!
***This resource is also included in my Animal Unit here

Included:
Parent letter with explicit directions
Note taking form for students
Report form (2 different size lines)
Rubric

I have included this non-editable, PDF version that I send home with my students that you can simply print off and use as is!

If you need customization, I have included an editable file. I made each page editable so that you can change the requirements at any time and for any portion of the project.

If you need to edit, but like my fonts, you can google KG Set Fire to the Rain and KG Blank Space Solid.

Included in the report (or you can edit for your own content requirements)

Scientific name of the animal species

What kind of animal is it and what characteristics make it that type of animal? (mammal, reptile, amphibian, bird, fish)

Status of the animal. Is it endangered, threatened, or extinct? Why?

What continent or ocean is the animal from?

Describe the type of environment where the animal lives. (desert, grassland, forest, ocean, etc) What’s it like where the animal lives?

What does the animal eat in the wild? Is it an omnivore, carnivore, herbivore?

Include any interesting facts you learned.
