I understand that this has been a rough winter. Lucky for you, the state or your district has granted you a gift in the form of Blizzard Bags. While these can alleviate the tension that may arise when it comes time to decide if more days should be tacked onto the end of the school year, they can also be a cause for worry for many educators. What can you give your students that is comparable to three days worth of in-class activities? I have created a series of blizzard bags that should help you feel better about the distribution of the bags and the requirements are so fun and easy for students that they just may complete them and turn them in on time.
Please note: I have included three days worth of work, but I do not have the license to put the short stories themselves into this packet. Many of the short stories can be found online.
This resource contains activities to accompany the study of the works of Chris Crutcher.
