Classroom library management is a big job! Do your students have trouble select just right books? I know that we work on this all the time, but some students still need a little further guidance. Another issue we often face is a limited supply of genres, levels, etc in our classroom libraries, so helping students to select a set number from each bin, level, genre is helpful in managing our "stock" of books.
I created these Editable Book Shopping Checklists to aid in managing our classroom library. First-most I want students to have CHOICE in what they read, and I also want to ensure that they are truly able to read what they select.
You can use the pre-made checklists for independent readers level aa through Z, or create your own with your own criteria!
With this tool you have the option to select levels, specific genres, or bin labels you want students to select from. Students always reading graphic novels? That's great! These are amazing books, but we also want to expand our horizons. Give them a specific number of graphic novels they can have on their checklist as well as another genre to try that they may like!
Included are ~8" x 3.5" bookmark style checklists and ~3" x 3" miniature square checklists that fit into dollar spot adhesive pockets.
