Description
Spruce up your classroom spirit around the holidays by hosting a classroom holiday book exchange. Students each bring in a wrapped book then spend time together exchanging books and reading new titles. This is a GREAT way to spread holiday spirit while also building a solid classroom community.
What is a Christmas or Holiday Book Exchange?
A Christmas or holiday book exchange is a fun way to build classroom community and home libraries at the same time. Each student will bring one wrapped book into school during the holiday season. On the final day, students will sit in a circle and pass their books to their classmates. Each student then gets to unwrap their new book from another classmate. Students LOVE getting to pick out a book for another student, plus they love getting a new book that was picked out just for them!
What's Inside: This parent letter details everything you need to explain the holiday or Christmas book exchange to parents. There are 3 versions - a completely editable version, one where you just need to add the dates, and one that is ready for you to just print and write on. You will need PowerPoint or Google Slides in order to edit this item.
