This weekly warm-up format is a great activator or bell ringer! Typically, students complete these exercises in the first five minutes of class. It is a brief independent practice activity that can easily precede a quick (5 minute) reteaching session. During the reteaching session, students are prompted to identify their errors and make corrections in the corrections column. When used appropriately, this model reduces grammar instructional time while increasing student engagement and content mastery. It also provides proper scaffolding for grammatical concepts.
