Students often struggle with the writing process, especially the five-paragraph expository essay. This listing will help make the writing process a bit easier for you and your students. This listing contains a .zip file that includes:
-a brainstorming sheet
-an expository essay rough draft sheet with lines (for easy printing)
-an expository essay rough draft sheet without lines (for easy posting)
The rough draft sheet breaks down the expository essay into paragraphs and into individual sentences, providing space for students to write. There are also helpful reminders about what content should be included within each sentence.
This document is editable since there are many different ways of constructing the five-paragraph essay. It allows you to customize the document to fit your needs. You can easily save the document as PDF, post it online (in a secure space), or turn it into a GoogleDoc. There is a version with lines, so that you an easily print out the pages and turn it into a packet. There is also a version without lines, so your students can type their sentences. Note: Please only post in a secure online space, like Schoology.
