Flipbook Syllabus Template for Secondary Classrooms
If you are anything like me, I was tired of my students losing my syllabus throughout the school year (some lost them the next day!). Since I use interactive notebooks in my classroom, I came up with a way to include all of the information on my syllabus in a small-sized flipbook that can be glued into a composition notebook. The flip book syllabus will also fit in a larger spiral notebook, as well.
All of the slides are completely editable. All you need to do is add your own class information over the top of mine. I left my information in as a guide for you. There are also blank templates of each section at the end of my example.
At the beginning of the school year, I hand out a flip book syllabus set to each of my students. I usually go over my syllabus the second day of class and give my students homework to cut and color their pages for the next day. They also must get their parents to read and sign it as well. The next day we put them together. I have had students glue each section together and I have had them staple each section. Stapling is much quicker because they only need to glue the back page into the notebook. My students aren't typically rock stars with glue and interactive notebooks yet…so it’s good to keep it simple.
I hope they help in your classroom as much as they have in mine!
