Students who take data on their own behaviors are more likely to change their behaviors and attitudes. Put their behaviors, reactions and consequences into a visual chart that allows them to see when they are having a hard time, self reflect, and help themselves initiate self soothing strategies.
Fully editable word doc. Created for a middle school SDC classroom social skills class.
Students would track how they felt throughout the day following a RYGB system.
Red: Angry, upset, yelling, refusal, other behaviors.
Yellow: Agitated, upset, annoyed, should take a break.
Blue: sad, lethargic, tired, sleeping.
Green: Feeling great, no behaviors!
The goal was to have most of their day in Green and ID patterns of off colors.
As a team you and the student can determine when they are having the most trouble, ID when those periods occurred and self reflect on ways to help them achieve an all GREEN day!
