Students who take data on their own behaviors are more likely to change their behaviors and attitudes. Put their behaviors, reactions and consequences into a visual chart that allows them to see when they are having a hard time, self reflect, and help themselves initiate self soothing strategies.
Fully editable word doc. Created for a middle school sdc classroom social skills class. Students would track how they felt following a RYGB system. Red: Angry, upset, yelling, refusal, other behaviors. Yellow: Agitated, upset, annoyed, should take a break. Blue: sad, lethargic, tired, sleeping. Green: Feeling great, no behaviors! The goal was to have most of their day in Green and ID patterns of off colors.
