Description

Word problems are powerful tools for developing mathematical skills and problem solving. Use these easily differentiated, editable problems that allow your students to choose number sets. These word problems focus on fair share (intro to multiplication and division) and have 3 types.

This resource includes everything you need to know to successfully start a word problem routine in your classroom. This particular resource is designed for kindergarten, but you can make your number sets larger and change some wording in the problems to easily adapt this to older grades.

Represent addition and subtraction with objects, fingers, mental images, drawings, sounds (e.g., claps), acting out situations, verbal explanations, expressions, or equations.
Solve addition and subtraction word problems, and add and subtract within 10, e.g., by using objects or drawings to represent the problem.
