Description

This resource includes 1 editable Halloween mystery picture that can be used with any word list or with simple math problems. After coloring by the designated code, a fun "mystery picture" will appear.

This resource was designed to be very flexible so that teachers can use it year after year. The picture has six colors and can hold between 6-18 words. Just enter your words into the picture and they will automatically be placed into the appropriate fields throughout the worksheet.

I personally use mystery pictures for sight words and phonics practice, but they could be used for many other purposes in the classroom. I love that I can give all of my students the same picture, but can vary the word list and difficulty depending on the student.

The following pictures are included:

1. Halloween pumpkins

An answer key and instructions are also provided. Please note that the boxes can only hold words that are up to 7 characters long, and that the font, font size, and other elements of the page are not editable. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader (which you likely already have installed on your computer) to open and edit this PDF.

Need to split up the pages on this file for distance learning? You can use the "print to PDF" function on your computer to create and save a new PDF file that includes whatever combination of pages you would like to use.

* For young learners who may not be able read the colors listed on the worksheet, please highlight the six colors in advance (color the word "yellow" with a yellow crayon, color the word "blue" with a blue crayon, and so on). With this slight modification, all learners can enjoy using this worksheet.
