Editable READ ALOUD RESOURCE GUIDE!!!
If I can give you one piece of advice that you will take to heart this school year, please READ ALOUD to your students. It extremely important to build readers, thinkers, and a community in your classroom. This guide will help make your read aloud a community effort.
Color and BW :)
At the Beginning of the Year:
Ask your students what genres and topics they like reading about. Then go find chapter books and pictures that will interest your readers.
Create a list of read alouds that your classroom of readers will enjoy. Keep this list in your planner for easy reference. You can also keep a list of what standards or themes go with each book!
Post in your classroom the current (or trending) read aloud.
In your desk area, post KEEP CALM and READ ALOUD!
Students can leave you post-it notes (template inside) of what books they would love for you to read.
Lastly, DON'T FORGET TO READ-----FISH IN A TREE!
Please ask any and all questions before purchasing!!!
