Align your bulletin board with math and writing standards! Display real student work as a reference for students to compare and analyze their own work with. I use my bulletin board as a tool during writing and math workshops. Students frequently use it to compare their own work to and then make changes to ensure they are creating quality work. I also display real student work so students can see what kind of work will earn a M, P, or an E grade on their progress report. Eventually students are able to analyze other student work samples and determine the kind of grade it would receive and what can be done to improve.
Here's what's included:
To assemble and display, I simply printed everything at my school, laminated, and displayed on a blank wall in my classroom. The 11x17 poster must be printed on 11x17 paper which most copiers have a setting for. The rest of the items can be printed on standard copy paper.
**You will need the font KG One More Light BIG Regular if you want the same header fonts when you edit the banner, standards posters, subject signs, and grade labels. I downloaded it from dafont.com.
