Inspiration:
As a middle school teacher I want my students and their parents/guardians to feel enthusiastic about our year together. While it is important that I help my students increase their independence as learners, I find it is also essential to keep parents/guardians informed about the work we are doing in my ELA classroom. On the first day of school and at our “Meet the Teacher Night” I like to share my class syllabus. Within my syllabus I include:
•the learning that is taking place in my classroom
•my contact information
•Schoology info
•grading scale and policies
•assignments and assessments
•materials needed for success each day
Directions for Use:
I have attached an example of the syllabi I utilize with my students, and created some different editable versions in order for you to create syllabus that works for your students, parents/guardians, administration, and YOU!
Simply:
•Click on the EDITABLE PowerPoint file
•Click in each text box (I have shared the fonts I use)
•Add your course information
