Editable Test Review Game Project For Middle School

When students create their own Forbidden Lingo playing cards, they are required to think deeply about the content. Not only do they review and highlight the important concepts of a topic, they have to think of how to explain it without using those key words! With the same game play rules as Taboo, students can play their games with each other after they've created them.

This is great to review for a benchmark test or at the end of a unit as a final project. Students love to play the games they've made and share them with their peers! I use this in my middle school science classroom but could easily be adapted for social studies, math, or ELA - any time a student needs to know a concept!
