Sentence Boo-Boos are a fantastic way for students to correct and edit sentences on a daily basis. Students will correct spelling, punctuation, and capitalization, in the first set. The second set has grammatical errors as well as identifying nouns, verbs, and adjectives. They can be used in an interactive notebook, allowing for students to go back and reference previous days to help with future editing.
When used in an interactive notebook, students will cut the daily strips, then glue one side down, allowing for the other to be a daily ‘lift the flap.’ Students will then rewrite the sentence correctly underneath the flap. This is the perfect tool for practicing capital letters, correct verb usage, and punctuation.
