This handout/activity guides students through a peer-editing activity that holds all students accountable for providing helpful feedback on students' punctuation, capitalization, subject and verb agreement, and use of complete sentences.
As implemented, students had access to a computer lab, and had been typing their essays on Google Drive, so that they can simply share their essays with one another. This avoided the trouble of having students print their essays and bring them in, or of having the instructor print them all. However, the handout is easily adapted to have students bring in their essays and work with hard copies.
Students loved having the chance to provide feedback on one another's writing in a structured setting, and it saved me a lot of time correcting grammar and spelling in their final products!
