PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

I assign this editorial as a response to Patrick Henry's "Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death" speech, but you could use it for other American Revolution writers, such as Thomas Paine.

Students are required to respond to a historical event, the American Revolution, and use numerous forms of rhetoric in their response. The final product looks like a newsletter from the 1700s, created in Publisher. My students love making these "Ye Olde Tribune" printables.

It's a great creative project that assesses student understanding of American History as well.
