Tree Map (Thinking Map)
Building Knowledge: The letters C and D should be fully explored with sound picture cards to match. I like to do several pocket chart sorts with C and D before this lesson. Then when I model the lesson I refer to the previous pocket chart sorting.
1. Color the pictures.
2. Cut the rectangles.
3. Sort and glue the pictures on the tree map.
You can always add a linguistic pattern at the bottom such as:
