This is a chapter-by-chapter study guide for Eerie Elementary: Recess is a Jungle, by Jack Chabert. It is the 3rd book in the Eerie Elementary series.
Included in this packet you will find:
•A “Character Counts” chart for your students to fill in as they read and learn more information about the characters in the story. Chart elements include: Personality and/or physical characteristics, Likes/Dislikes, Friends, and Job and/or special mission at the school. This chart is nearly identical to the one included in my other book studies in this series.
•Pre-reading questions. This is a 1-page assignment where students do a quick book scan to get a feel for the story before they begin reading. It can act as a great anticipatory set!
•Chapter-by-chapter questions. There are a variety of questions throughout this packet including factual, predictions, vocabulary, drawing, grammar (parts of speech), figurative language and reflective responses.
•Book Review page. Students respond to questions about their opinion on the book.
•Answer Key included at the end of the document!
