This lesson is a short station rotation activity consisting of 5 stations that cover different aspects of the effects of World War I on Europe. This lesson covers the human cost of the war by looking at data and statistics, the political impact of the war by looking at and analyzing maps, the human cost of the war by reading about Shell Shock, how the war created an artists movement called “The Lost Generation, and reviews the overall impact of the war by having students diagram the effects of the war. Students typically need 10-15 minutes per station and while the work could be done individually, it works best in groups of 3-5 students.
