Check out the TEEN PARENT BUDGET that I use as a companion to drill home the challenges of being a teen parent. Easy for students to complete, but makes a big impact.
You won't be disappointed with this EGG BABY PROJECT! This is a VERY THOROUGH project with just about all possible issues covered. However PLEASE ask me questions if you have any.
This is a time-tested, student tested, 7-day, Human Sexuality project focused on responsibility. There is no parenting education included in this, however it would fit seamlessly with a Family Life curriculum. I have used Flour babies in the past and find that hollowed eggs are less messy when accidents happen in the hallways. I have used it with 8th and 9th grade students although it would fit at a higher grade level with some adaptations to the questions.
I have developed this project from scratch. Every year, I adapted it as problems arose to make sure I avoided them the next time I ran this.
This download includes a Project Timeline, faculty/staff notice, parent notice, grade sheet and all worksheets needed.
This project uses a hollowed egg as the tool to help students understand some of the responsibilities of becoming a parent at a young age. Focuses of this project include time management, safety, decision-making, trust, personal responsibility, among others.
I have used this project for 12 years and over those years have adapted it multiple times to prevent as many issues as possible in as many areas as possible. You will download this project in a Word document so that you may edit any pieces of it.
PLEASE contact me with any questions about the project.
Best Wishes and HAVE FUN!!!
