Younger children can use the printable to decorate eggs and discover the diversity of living and fossil animals. Older can learn the basic facts about birds and reptiles from cards that are included in the file.
The printable can also be utilized to teach children basic arithmetic operations. The child measures the length and/or the breadth of an egg, then decides which species lay (or laid) largest eggs, and how many times larger (or smaller) one length/breadth is compared to the other.
Example questions that might be asked: How many times bigger is the dinosaur's egg than a chicken? How much longer is the length of emu's egg than the length of chicken egg?
