"Egg Drop Challenge" is a STEM activity that I adapted from an activity that I saw many years ago and for which I have created certificates, a data table, etc.. Students are challenged to engineer a container (made from household materials with some restrictions) that will protect an uncooked egg when dropped from 10 feet. The first challenge is to engineer a protective container. Additional challenges include making it as lightweight and as short as possible. Also, students are challenged to create a container unlike any other. "Egg Drop Challenge" makes for a learning-packed, exciting, and challenging spring-time activity.
