Students are given the task to design a contraption that will protect an egg from breaking after being dropped from various heights.
I used this project as an end of the year STEM/Physical Science project in a 7th grade science classroom. The kids will absolutely love it!
Files included will pace you through this 3-4 day project culminating with "Drop Day." Drop Day is always a blast and feel free to get creative with how high you want to drop your eggs. We used 1 meter and 6 meters last year.
Files include official rules and pacing guide, brainstorming, testing, observing, data collection and a conclusion.
Feel free to edit and update for work works best for your classroom and the age of your students. I envision this working from 5/6th grade and up. Thanks for looking!
