Figurative Language -- Idioms Unit: Idioms about Eggs
Idioms can be tricky for young learners and problematic for ELL students. Helping your students understand idioms will increase their vocabularies and enrich their writing. Through class discussions introduce your students to the egg idioms
. Then ask them to illustrate and complete the Egg Idioms booklet
. Cut the booklet pages in half before binding them together.
This unit is CCSS aligned. Although the subject is eggs, which are appropriate for spring, this product has NO references to Easter. It will blend well with a farm unit, as well.
