Happy spring to all my followers!!!
This is a great review for blends and digraphs!
I decided I needed something new to do with my kiddos this year.
You need to purchase plastic eggs and perhaps a basket to hold them. I made 4 for each of my tables in my classroom.
You will need 12 eggs for each basket. I cut out the pictures and placed one picture in each egg. I wrote the corresponding number on each egg – I used stickers to write on, but you could probably just use a permanent marker on each egg.
Each student gets an Egg Phonics writing page to write their words upon. If they open egg number 2, they need to write the word in space number 2. This continues until they have filled up their page.
At this point they can self check it or bring it to the teacher to check it.
I teach first grade, however, you could do only the beginning or ending sounds for kindergarten.
It would be fun to give them a jellybean for each word they spell correctly!
